We offer a variety of services to support publishing and archiving of scholarly work from the University of Florida. Florida Online Journals is the preferred site for scholarly journals with UF affiliation that are currently publishing. Open Access publishing services include the UF Open Access Publishing Fund and open educational resources such as the Orange Grove Texts Plus. The institutional repository, IR@UF, is an accessible archive for a broad range of scholarly work from presentations, reports and dissertations to data management plans and supplementary files. Copyright and Fair Use services are also available.

Florida Online Journals (Florida OJ)

Florida OJ is an affordable digital publishing platform that provides easy indexing and professional preservation. Publishers of scholarly journals affiliated with UF in current production can use this site to accept and review submissions, publish current issues and host back issues. Support for UF users is provided by a UF Florida OJ Service Team and networking is encouraged through the Florida OJ Publishers Round Table. Florida OJ is hosted by FLVC who provides a statewide installation of the open source Public Knowledge Projects’ Open Journal System. For more information contact Suzanne Stapleton or visit Publishing with Florida OJ.

Open Access publishing services

UF Open Access Publishing Fund supports the goal of making UF research findings available immediately without charge to all readers. When funds are not available from other sources, the Fund will assist UF authors by paying reasonable Article Processing Charges (APCs) assessed by publishers of open access journals, including hybrid open access journals. The University of Florida Open Access Publishing (UFOAP) Fund

Orange Grove Texts Plus is a collaboration of the University Press of Florida and Orange Grove Digital Repository, an initiative of the Florida Distance Learning Consortium. Orange Grove Texts Plus offer high quality, affordable, adaptable and accessible textbooks to faculty and students in an electronic world.
