Marston Science Library Visualization and Conference Room (L136)

Room L136 in the Marston Science Library's Collaboration Commons is a multi-purpose meeting, videoconferencing, and visualization room.

Consider reserving the room to:

  • visualize large research data
  • collaborate with a group (local or remote)
  • participate in a videoconference
  • hold a lecture or workshop

Scott Nygren Scholars Studio, in Library West

The Scott Nygren Scholars Studio, located in Library West, is an emerging community center for digital humanities and digital scholarship at the University of Florida. Open to faculty and graduate students to support collaborative dh/ds research and practice, the Studio offers the technology necessary for users to make new intellectual contributions in their fields. 

As a space for scholars to gather and confer, the Studio offers: 

  • Software for digital exploration of texts and images: Adobe Creative Suite, Java Development Kit, Python, & more
  • Large LED screens, including a touchscreen to encourage creative thoughts and design, and presentation connections to both studio computers and wireless AirMedia for laptops or tablets

Flexible seating for small or large groups with comfortable, easy-to-move furniture
